A 73-year-old man was injured in a landmine explosion in the village of Sariyel, located in Azerbaijan's liberated Kalbajar district.

The victim, identified as Kamran Shukur oglu Suleymanov (born 1953), a resident of Gaynag village in Tartar district, triggered the explosive device while grazing livestock in an uncleared area, according to a joint statement released by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor General's Office, and the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA), Caliber.Az reports per local media.

The Kalbajar District Prosecutor's Office has launched a formal investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
