Azerbaijan, Türkiye strengthen strategic media partnership to combat disinformation
Executive Director of the Azerbaijan Media Development Agency, Ahmad Ismayilov, met with Burhanettin Duran, Head of the Communications Department of the Turkish Presidential Administration, on the sidelines of the Forum of Turkic States on Combating Disinformation.
During the meeting, the sides underscored that the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Türkiye in the media sphere is evolving consistently and purposefully, with a particular focus on countering disinformation, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
The parties noted that the rapid spread of false and manipulative content in today’s information environment has a serious impact on public opinion and regional stability, and that this necessitates coordinated joint efforts.
They emphasized that the Turkish-Azerbaijani Media Platform serves as an effective mechanism for collaborative activities, rapid information exchange, and the formation of a unified stance.
The discussion also highlighted confidence that ongoing dialogue on existing challenges in the media and communications sphere, the identification of practical solutions, and the development of joint strategies will be pursued even more intensively in the future.
