Azerbaijan waives customs duty on demining equipment import Presidential order

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has signed a decree exempting the import of mine clearance equipment from customs duties until 2028.

Caliber.Az reports that this is stipulated by amendments to the law "On Customs Tariff".

According to the amendments, within the framework of assistance in the clearing of mines and unexploded ordnance from the lands liberated from occupation and other territories affected by military actions, import of all types of machinery, equipment, technical means, and devices for demining, their spare parts, personal armour protection means, as well as mine detection dogs is exempted from customs duties from March 1, 2023, for a period of 5 years.
