25 September 2024 21:54

A delegation led by Chairman of the Azerbaijan Railways company (ADY) Rovshan Rustamov has held meetings with representatives from the railway administrations of Türkiye, Romania, Lithuania, and Poland, as well as such companies as DB Cargo, Stadler Rail, and Hitachi on the second day of the "InnoTrans" international exhibition in Germany’s capital Berlin.

Key topics of the meetings included discussions on increasing transit shipments along the Middle Corridor, digital solutions, and additional services related to the modernised Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

Moreover, the role of the Eurasian Transport Route International Association in diversifying freight transportation was addressed. ADY has a prominent presence at the "InnoTrans" exhibition, focusing on digitalisation and sustainable development in the transportation sector. This year, the exhibition features 2,940 companies from 59 countries.

ADY aims to explore innovations and discuss potential collaboration with international railway administrations. The world’s biggest transport technology exhibition, InnoTrans, is being held at the Berlin ExpoCentre from September 24 to 27, 2024. Industry leaders and researchers are showcasing the latest advancements in railway technologies.

The German Aerospace Centre presents its futuristic NGT-Taxi concept. This lightweight, modular, high-tech rail bus, based on an autonomous control system, aims to enhance connectivity with rural areas. The 14th InnoTrans exhibition, featuring nearly 3,000 exhibitors from 39 countries, has set a new record for participation. The international transport exhibition was inaugurated by Germany's Federal Minister for Digital and Transport Volker Wissing alongside Director-General for Mobility and Transport within the European Commission Magda Kopczyńska.
