Azerbaijani eco-activists resolved to succeed
Arzu Aliyeva, a member of the Public Council under the Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry, has said that the protesters will not leave the area without achieving their objectives.
"No force can remove us away from here until we achieve our goal," Aliyeva told APA.
She noted that the demonstration is as enthusiastic as on the first day.
"I've been here since the first day. That is, for the fifth day already. We, MENR representatives, are holding the action because we are not allowed to monitor. We are not thinking of stopping. Today we expected that our demands would be heard. But the Russian peacekeepers did not agree. We intensified our activities and chanted slogans louder," Aliyeva stressed.
The protester criticized the actions of the Russian peacekeeping contingent.
"Let our own customs post be established, and we will protect our wealth. We are already voicing such slogans. Our resources have been plundered for more than 30 years, they must be returned to their owners. You see the enthusiasm here. Everyone is interested in participating in this rally," she added.
Despite the cold weather, she said, no one wants to leave: "Our provision is at a high level, too. It's an honor for us to stand on these lands, liberated from occupation after 30 years".
