Azerbaijani health minister praises Kazakhstan’s support amid Turkic States’ growing partnership PHOTO
At the fifth meeting of health ministers from the member states and observers of the Organisation of Turkic States, a pivotal discussion took place, underscoring the expanding collaboration between Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov and the health ministers of the participating countries.
The event highlighted the dynamic development of relations between the member states of the Organisation of Turkic States, with a special emphasis on the ongoing support from Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijani health ministry told Caliber.Az.
Azerbaijani Health Minister Teymur Musayev expressed gratitude to the representatives of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Health and other state organisations for their prompt assistance to the victims of the December 25 plane crash near Aktau, which involved an Azerbaijan Airlines flight from Baku to Grozny.
The timely response from Kazakhstan’s authorities was recognized as vital in assisting those affected by the crash. In addition to bilateral relations, the ministers acknowledged the flourishing cooperation between member states of the Organisation of Turkic States on international platforms.
The Azerbaijani health minister further expressed appreciation for Kazakhstan’s backing of initiatives proposed by Azerbaijan within the Organisation of Turkic States. Following this, a meeting was held with Tamara Duisenova, the Assistant to the President of Kazakhstan. They discussed the positive and dynamic development of relations within the Organisation of Turkic States, particularly in sectors like healthcare.
Musayev also held a series of bilateral meetings during the event. One key discussion was with Kazakh Minister of Health Akmaral Alnazarova, where the two sides discussed the accreditation of medical organisations, the provision of emergency medical services during crises, and the future of healthcare cooperation between their countries.
In a separate meeting, Musayev met with Hans Henri Kluge, Director of the World Health Organisation (WHO) Regional Director for Europe. Both sides praised the effective cooperation between Azerbaijan and the WHO, highlighting the shared commitment to improving healthcare standards and medical science.
