Azerbaijan’s Report news agency and Baku TV, both operating under Global Media Group, have formalized a memorandum of cooperation with Khabar, one of Kazakhstan’s leading news organizations.
The agreement, aimed at enhancing regional media collaboration, was signed today in Astana, Caliber.Az reports.
The signing ceremony brought together Ramin Jafarov, Director of Baku TV; Fuad Huseynaliyev, CEO of Report; and Kemelbek Oyshybaev, Chairman of the Board of Khabar Agency. Also in attendance were Orkhan Mammadov, Board Member of Global Media Group, and Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Kazakhstan, Aghalar Atamoghlanov.
Ambassador Atamoghlanov highlighted the significance of the partnership, stating that it will strengthen information links in the region. He added that closer media coordination will reinforce the longstanding friendly relations between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.
Kemelbek Oyshybaev emphasized Khabar’s strategic view of the partnership: “Our cooperation will facilitate both the exchange of new technologies in news production and the expansion of opportunities for sharing media content. The memorandum exemplifies mutual trust and sustainable collaboration.”
Orkhan Mammadov noted that the initiative will create a new synergy across the information landscapes of the South Caucasus and Central Asia. “This partnership represents not only content exchange but also the elevation of professional standards among leading media institutions in both countries. The practical results of our joint activities will become evident in the near future,” he said.
Under the memorandum, the organizations plan to undertake joint television and news projects, share expertise in news production, expand content flows, and develop innovative media formats.
Baku TV’s regional collaboration began last month with the signing of a memorandum with Uzbekistan’s “Uzbekistan 24” channel. The new agreement with Khabar continues this trajectory, further broadening the scope of media cooperation across Central Asia.
