Azerbaijani, Lithuanian presidents discuss bilateral relations & regional peace in Oxford
On July 18, Azerbaijani and Lithuanian Presidents Ilham Aliyev and Gitanas Nausėda met in Oxford to discuss the prospects for the development of bilateral relations between the two countries.
President Nausėda congratulated President Aliyev on the organization of COP29, expressing his gratitude for the invitation and confirming his plans to meet again in Baku during the event, Caliber.Az reports via local media
President Nausėda fondly recalled his official visit to Azerbaijan and the productive discussions that took place during that time. The conversation also covered the regional peace agenda and Azerbaijan-European Union relations.
Both leaders expressed regret over Armenia's lack of a positive response to the UK's proposal for a meeting between Armenia and Azerbaijan, modeled after the Munich Security Conference format.
