Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev receives official welcome in Astana

On October 21, an official welcoming ceremony for the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, took place at the Akorda Presidential Palace in Kazakhstan’s capital, Astana.

A guard of honour was lined up at the palace in honour of the Azerbaijani President, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev welcomed President Ilham Aliyev.

Members of the Kazakh delegation were introduced to President Aliyev, while members of the Azerbaijani delegation were introduced to President Tokayev.

The commander of the guard of honour reported to the Azerbaijani President.

The national anthems of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan were played.

The two Presidents inspected the guard of honour and posed for a joint photograph.
