Azerbaijani rescuers extract 26 people from quake rubble in Türkiye PHOTO/VIDEO

The Rapid Response Forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan, which was sent to Türkiye on behalf of President Ilham Aliyev in order to eliminate the consequences of a strong earthquake in the brotherly country and provide support to search and rescue operations, continue uninterrupted activities in the disaster zone.

As Caliber.Az was informed in the press service of the ministry, the rescuers, as part of search and rescue operations in the Kahramanmarash region, which was significantly affected by the natural disaster, rescued 26 people from the rubble, including five children, and also removed and handed over 47 bodies.

Specially trained rescue dogs of the Ministry of Emergency Situations are also used in operations.

The Azerbaijani Emergency Situations Ministry's rapid reaction forces sent to Türkiye on behalf of President Ilham Aliyev to eliminate the consequences of a strong earthquake in the fraternal country and support search and rescue operations, relentlessly continue operations in the disaster zone.

As part of search and rescue operations in the area of Kahramanmaras, which was significantly affected by the natural disaster, the ministry's rescuers rescued 16 people from the rubble, including three children, and also retrieved and handed over the bodies of 29 people, the ministry press service told Caliber.Az.
