Azerbaijani students visit Orthodox Church in Baku PHOTO

A group of teachers and students of the Azerbaijan Institute of Theology visited the Orthodox Church of Michael Archangel in Baku.

This visit was paid as part of familiarisation with the traditional religions of Azerbaijan and the basic principles of the Azerbaijani model of multiculturalism, the diocese told Caliber.Az.

They visited the Diocese for the Baku region and Azerbaijan of the Russian Orthodox Church, located on Zargarpalan street in the capital's Yasamal district.

Following the service, the Head of the Church, Archpriest Methodius (Efendiev) warmly welcomed the guests and told the students about the emergence of Christianity and its foundations, the Orthodox church, and its services, as well as answering the visitors' questions.
