Azerbaijani, Uzbek presidents discuss cooperation in phone call
On April 5, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan made a phone call to President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan.
During the conversation, the two heads of state discussed "current issues on the bilateral and multilateral agenda." The leaders underscored the importance of accelerating the implementation of "economic, trade, investment and humanitarian projects" to further strengthen the ties between their countries, Caliber.Az reports, citing a statement posted on the official website of the President of Azerbaijan.
The presidents also "exchanged views on future high-level meetings," emphasizing the ongoing commitment to deepening cooperation at the highest levels of government.
In addition to their bilateral discussions, the two leaders focused on regional collaboration, including within the frameworks of the "Organization of Turkic States and the Economic Cooperation Organization."
