Baku, Ankara talk over cooperation in extradition PHOTO
A delegation headed by Istanbul’s Chief Prosecutor, Akın Gürlek, visited Baku on a working trip from January 30 to 31, at the invitation of Azerbaijan’s Prosecutor General, Kamran Aliyev.
During the meeting, Kamran Aliyev stated, "The bilateral relations between our prosecutorial bodies are developing successfully across various areas, including the provision of mutual legal assistance in criminal cases and collaboration in extradition matters," Caliber.Az reports.
Akın Gürlek also highlighted the long-standing and thriving relations between the two countries, noting, "The historical ties between Türkiye and Azerbaijan are flourishing in political, economic, cultural, and other sectors."
The delegation toured the new administrative building of the Prosecutor General’s Office and the Victory Museum, met with leaders of the Prosecutor's Office’s structural departments, and reviewed the activities of the Main Directorate for Combating Corruption and the Baku City Prosecutor’s Office.
