Baku, Rome discuss cooperation in tackling emergencies

Azerbaijani Minister of Emergency Situations, Col-Gen Kamaladdin Heydarov, met with the Ambassador of Italy to Azerbaijan, Luca Di Gianfrancesco, to discuss cooperation in combating emergency situations.

Heydarov reminded that the relations between Azerbaijan and Italy are built on principles of friendship and mutual respect, and that the multifaceted ties between the two countries are rapidly developing, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azerbaijan's Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The minister provided the ambassador with detailed information about the work being done in the country in the field of emergency management and about the activities of the Ministry’s structures, as well as spoke about the prospects for cooperation between the relevant agencies of Azerbaijan and Italy in combating emergencies.

The Italian ambassador to Azerbaijan noted that relations between the two countries are constantly evolving. 

He spoke about the mutual benefits of cooperation between the respective agencies in the framework of emergency prevention and response.
