Baku to convene foreign ombudsmen

An international symposium involving ombudsmen of foreign countries and national human rights institutions will be held in Baku in November on the sidelines of COP29.

Addressing the 15th International Conference of Information Commissioners in Albania, Azerbaijani Ombudsperson Sabina Aliyeva said that the symposium will also discuss issues of access to information, per Report.

During her speech Sabina Aliyeva also informed the participants of the conference about the activity in protection and ensuring the right of access to information, educational measures implemented in this sphere in Azerbaijan.

As part of the visit, the Ombudsman met with Minister of Justice of Albania Ulsi Manja, Deputy Speaker of Parliament Ermonela Felaj and other officials.
