Belarus appoints new ambassador to Russia

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has named Yuri Seliverstov as the country’s new ambassador to the Russian Federation.

The appointment comes shortly after the previous Belarusian ambassador to Russia, Alexander Rogozhnik, was appointed governor of the Vitebsk Region just a week ago, Caliber.Az reports per foreign media.

Seliverstov’s posting underscores the continued importance of Belarus-Russia diplomatic relations amid ongoing regional political and economic developments.
