Belarus showcases new search-and-rescue unmanned helicopter VIDEO
A new Belarusian unmanned helicopter designed for search-and-rescue operations in hard-to-reach areas has been presented in Minsk at the “National Security. Belarus-2026” forum.
The system, named the Heli-E unmanned aerial vehicle, is capable of conducting automated aerial surveys and locating missing or injured individuals following emergencies in difficult terrain, according to exhibition materials, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.
The drone is equipped with a 30x zoom camera offering 2K resolution, an infrared imaging system, and a laser rangefinder with a reach of up to 1.5 kilometres. It also carries an IMSI catcher capable of detecting mobile phones within a one-kilometre radius with an accuracy of up to 50 metres.
Officials said the aircraft can patrol an area for up to 105 minutes with minimal operator input.
The Heli-E is a joint development between Belarusian companies aOrion and BELTIMSB.
