Bild: Ukrainian forces deploy British robot dogs in Donbas combat zone
14 August 2024 16:17
The Ukrainian Armed Forces are utilizing British-made BAD Two robot dogs in the Donbas war zone.
These compact ground drones, developed by the UK company Brit Alliance, are equipped with video cameras and can reach speeds of up to 15 km/h, Caliber.Az reports per Bild.
They are designed to navigate challenging terrains like trenches and forests where traditional drones might struggle.
Currently, Ukraine has over 30 of these robot dogs, which are used primarily for reconnaissance. To prevent detection by Russian forces, the robots are outfitted with German-made anti-heat camouflage. Each robot dog costs between €4,000 and €8,000, depending on its specifications.
