Bishkek welcomes top Turkic officials for pivotal regional meeting PHOTO
The meeting of the heads of government from the member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) officially commenced in Bishkek, marking a significant step in enhancing cooperation among Turkic-speaking nations.
The event began with a formal reception where Adylbek Kasymaliev, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Head of the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan, personally welcomed the visiting delegation leaders. This was followed by a ceremonial group photograph, underscoring the spirit of unity and collaboration among the participants, Caliber.Az reports, citing Kyrgyz Cabinet of Ministers.
The high-profile gathering includes key figures such as Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov, Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov,, Kyrgyz Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev, Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, Uzbek Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov, and the Secretary-General of the OTS, Kubanychbek Omuraliev.
The meeting will focus on advancing cooperation within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States across key priority sectors, including the economy, trade, investment, transportation, digitalization, energy, agriculture, and beyond. Furthermore, participants will deliberate on the effective implementation of previously adopted resolutions and explore avenues to enhance the organizational mechanisms and operational efficiency of the OTS.
The Organization of Turkic States (OTS) is a multilateral international body fostering collaboration among Turkic nations, comprising Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan. Its principal objective is to promote holistic and multifaceted cooperation across political, economic, cultural, and social spheres among Turkic-speaking countries.
