Azerbaijan, Ethiopia hold talks on strengthening bilateral ties

Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali has held talks with Speaker of Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis (Parliament), Sahiba Gafarova, focusing on efforts to deepen bilateral relations and expand strategic cooperation.

In a post on X on July 29, Abiy described the meeting as productive, saying the two sides discussed ways to strengthen ties based on "a shared commitment to a deeper strategic partnership and mutual growth."

"It was a pleasure to speak with H.E. Mrs. Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan. We engaged in productive discussions on strengthening our bilateral relations, building on a shared commitment to a deeper strategic partnership and mutual growth," the Ethiopian prime minister wrote.
