Bodies of eight Uzbek citizens killed in Tatarstan drone attack repatriated

The bodies of eight Uzbek citizens killed in a drone attack in Russia’s Tatarstan region have been repatriated to Uzbekistan on a special flight, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
The ministry also reported that several Uzbek nationals were injured in the attack and are receiving medical treatment. Uzbek authorities said they are continuing to monitor developments and are coordinating on all aspects of the incident, Caliber.Az reports.
The attack took place on August 10, when drones struck targets in Tatarstan, killing 13 people and injuring 39 others, according to Uzbek authorities.
Citizens of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan were among those killed in the attack.
