Brigitte Macron publicly snubs French president again on arrival in UK This time refuses his helping hand / VIDEO
French First Lady Brigitte Macron has once again drawn media attention after apparently snubbing her husband, President Emmanuel Macron, by refusing his outstretched hand as they disembarked from a plane upon arrival in the United Kingdom, Caliber.Az reports, citing UK media.
Footage from the scene shows President Macron exiting the aircraft first, descending the narrow stairs. He then extended his hand to assist his wife, who followed wearing a white dress and high heels. However, Brigitte declined the gesture, choosing instead to support herself using the handrail.
The visibly awkward moment ended with Macron lowering his hand and turning toward their royal hosts—Prince William and Princess Kate—waiting to greet the couple.
This is not the first time the Macrons' relationship has raised eyebrows. In late May, during their official visit to Vietnam, cameras captured a moment when Brigitte appeared to slap the president on the face as he exited their aircraft—footage that quickly went viral.
