British business jet lands in China after crossing Russian airspace

A British Gulfstream G650ER business jet that had entered Russian airspace has landed in China, according to flight data analysed by RIA Novosti on September 17.

After entering Chinese airspace, the aircraft began gradually descending. At around 9:53 a.m. local time, it landed at Changsha Huanghua International Airport in the city of Changsha.

The aircraft had departed from Britain’s Luton Airport before crossing Russian airspace. It later flew over Mongolia before entering China.

Separately, the Fararu news agency reported on September 15 that a Boeing 737 operated by Sepehran Airlines made an emergency landing at an airport in the Iranian city of Mashhad.

The aircraft was operating a flight from Mashhad to Kermanshah when a technical malfunction was detected. The pilot declared an emergency and decided to return to the airport of departure.
