Casualty toll rises across Middle East amid ongoing conflict
Military exchanges between the United States, Israel, and Iran persist throughout the Middle East, driving a continual rise in civilian and military losses, Al Jazeera reports.
In Iran, at least 1,500 people have been killed and 18,551 injured. Lebanon has reported at least 1,039 fatalities and 2,583 injuries. Iraq has seen at least 61 deaths, with dozens more wounded.
Israel has recorded at least 18 fatalities and 4,697 injuries, while US military forces have suffered at least 13 deaths and 200 wounded. Palestine and Syria have each reported at least four deaths.
Other Gulf countries have also reported casualties: Kuwait has seen at least six killed and dozens injured; Bahrain reports at least two deaths and dozens wounded; the UAE has reported eight fatalities and 160 injuries; Oman has recorded three deaths and 15 injured; Saudi Arabia reports at least two killed and 20 injured. Jordan has reported 28 injured, and Qatar 16 injured.
The rising toll highlights the broad regional impact of the conflict, affecting both military personnel and civilians across the Middle East.
