CENTCOM claims no vessels broke Iran maritime blockade in 24 hours
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) has stated that over the past 24 hours no vessel departing from or heading to Iranian ports has succeeded in breaking the maritime blockade imposed by the United States.
In a statement posted on its official X account, CENTCOM said more than 10,000 U.S. service members, along with dozens of ships and aircraft, are involved in an operation to enforce a blockade of ships “entering and departing Iranian ports.”

“During the first 24 hours, no ships made it past the U.S. blockade and 6 merchant vessels complied with direction from U.S. forces to turn around to re-enter an Iranian port on the Gulf of Oman,” the statement said.
CENTCOM also noted that the United States supports “freedom of navigation” for tankers that are not heading to or departing from Iranian ports.
