CENTCOM: Iranian drones target ships in Strait of Hormuz
Iranian forces launched multiple one-way attack drones in an attempt to strike commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz, the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said in a statement posted on X.
CENTCOM said U.S. forces intercepted and shot down all of the drones in recent hours, preventing any impact on maritime traffic through the strategic waterway, Caliber.Az reports.

“U.S. forces have downed all of them in recent hours as traffic flow through the strait continues unimpeded. The international trade corridor remains open for transit,” the statement read.
The U.S. military added that shipping through the Strait of Hormuz — one of the world’s most critical energy and trade chokepoints — continued without disruption.
