China's COMAC to proceed with its widebody aircraft programme without Russia

The Chinese side has completely excluded Russia from the CR929 joint wide-body passenger aircraft project, which was supposed to be a competitor to Boeing and Airbus aircraft. 

According to The Air Current, China replaced all Russian developments with solutions from Western companies.

It is noted that now the only creator of CR929 is the Chinese company COMAC, despite the fact that the letter C in the name means China, and R - Russia.

The Chinese company attracted Rolls-Royce and General Electric to develop the engine and American and German companies to develop the chassis bogies.

The Russian-Chinese airliner was to be powered by a PD-35 engine.
