Civilian injured in landmine blast in Lachin dies

The Agency for Mine Action of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA) has released new information that on October 21, two people hit the antipersonnel mine in the Suarasi village of the Lachin region liberated from occupation.

Sabina Sarkarova, head of the press service of the Agency for Mine Clearance told Caliber.Az that Elsever Sovet oglu Hamidov (born 1977) and Sabuhi Telman oglu Hasanov (born 1977), who were carrying out repair and construction work in the area, received injuries of varying severity as a result of the mine explosion.

Elsever Hamidov died from his injuries, and the condition of Sabuhi Hasanov is assessed as satisfactory.

The Lachin District Prosecutor's Office is currently investigating the case.
