Qatar pushes US-Iran agreement as asset freeze talks advance UPDATED
A Qatari delegation in Tehran is finalising the remaining details of a memorandum of understanding with the United States and discussing the unfreezing of Iranian assets, an informed source told Al-Araby.
According to the source, the visit is aimed at incorporating final amendments to the document and comes amid comments and observations submitted by Tehran that still need to be reviewed and resolved.
The source stressed that the trip is directly linked to ongoing efforts to secure the release of Iranian funds frozen abroad.

Qatari mediators, working alongside the United States, travelled to Tehran on the morning of June 14 to assist in finalising a potential agreement, a source familiar with the matter told CNN.
The delegation later held discussions with Iranian officials, according to Tasnim News Agency.
The move comes amid conflicting US and Iranian accounts over the deal’s terms, including the timing of a memorandum of understanding, with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) disputing President Donald Trump’s claim that it would be signed on Sunday, June 14.
Earlier in the week, Iranian and Qatari officials also met in Tehran, where Iran submitted its draft proposal through the mediators, according to a source.
