Congressman: US cannot prioritise itself, back Russia simultaneously
Republican Representative Mike Turner stated that America, when discussing whose side it is on, cannot prioritise itself while simultaneously being pro-Russia.
During an interview with ABC News, Turner called on the United States not to tolerate Russia’s actions in Ukraine, Caliber.Az reports.
He described Russia as a “self-declared adversary of the United States” and accused Moscow of acting “mercilessly” in Ukraine while attempting to seize territory.
On December 28, US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met at Mar-a-Lago in Florida, holding talks that lasted more than two hours.
Both leaders spoke of progress and optimism, with Trump saying peace was closer than ever, while Zelenskyy stressed that any decision on territory would require approval through Ukraine’s constitutional processes or a referendum.
