Damascus, Beirut engage in security talks over regional escalation
Syrian Foreign Minister and Minister of Expatriates Asaad Hasan al-Shaybani held a phone call with Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam to discuss regional security developments.
In a post on X, the Syrian Foreign Ministry stated that the two sides addressed recent events amid escalation in southern Lebanon, as well as the broader situation related to Israeli actions in the region.

The conversation also covered bilateral relations between Syria and Lebanon and prospects for further development across various sectors.
Both officials emphasised the importance of continued coordination and consultations to safeguard the interests of both countries and to strengthen security and stability in the region.
