Russian forces launched a series of attacks on multiple districts in Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region overnight using kamikaze drones, resulting in casualties and significant property damage.
According to RBC-Ukraine, citing the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration Vladislav Gayvanenko and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the attacks targeted several communities.
Gayvanenko reported: “The enemy struck with rockets and drones in Sinelnikovshchina. Petropavlivska, Malomikhailivska, and Pokrovska communities were affected. Two people died, and seven others were injured.”
The strikes caused fires and damaged both apartment buildings and private houses, as well as outbuildings, a store, and vehicles.
In Nikopol, drone and artillery strikes continued, resulting in a garage and a passenger car catching fire. The shelling also damaged two additional private houses and a gas pipeline in the city.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed that a rescuer was killed during the attacks, and another was wounded in a subsequent rocket strike on the Petropavlivsk community.
Authorities continue to assess the full extent of the damage and casualties, as emergency services respond to fires and affected areas.
