Diplomat: Türkiye welcomes liberation of Lachin, two adjacent villages by Azerbaijan

President of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Mustafa Sentop has said that Türkiye welcomes the liberation of the Lachin district and two adjacent villages by Azerbaijan as part of the process carried out in accordance with the steps of the tripartite statement signed on November 9, 2020.

“This event will make an important contribution to the restoration of peace and stability in the South Caucasus and will have a positive impact on the normalisation of the situation in the region,” APA quotes Sentop as saying.

“On this occasion, we emphasise that we will continue to be close to the Azerbaijani people,” he added.
