Azerbaijan’s reservists train in combat skills, first aid, and chemical defence PHOTO
During practical classes held with a group of military conscripts called up from the reserve, special focus is placed on practical exercises.
These classes are organised in military units in line with the annual training plan of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence, as part of joint activities with the State Service for Mobilisation and Recruitment for Military Service.
The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence provided the details of these activities to Caliber.Az.
As per the training program, both theoretical and practical exercises were conducted with the personnel participating in the training camp at one of the special forces military units, aiming to improve the conscripts’ formation training.
Throughout the training at various designated sites, the conscripts were first educated on the rules of providing first aid during combat situations. They also practised various methods for exiting dangerous areas and received in-depth information about the modern special equipment used by the Azerbaijani army's engineering units.
The conscripts further honed practical skills, including the incomplete disassembly and assembly of small arms currently in service within the Azerbaijani units. They also gained proficiency in using personal chemical protection equipment.
After completing educational briefings and reviewing the necessary safety procedures, the conscripts successfully completed live-fire exercises using various types of small arms.
The training camps, being held according to plan, are designed to enhance the combat training, knowledge, and practical skills of the conscripts. These exercises also provide an opportunity for them to familiarise themselves with the weapons in the army's arsenal and to learn about their combat applications. The training camps continue to proceed as planned.
