Azerbaijan’s new UNESCO envoy steps into office

Fakhraddin Ismayilov has formally assumed his duties as Azerbaijan’s Permanent Representative to UNESCO after presenting his credentials to the organization’s Director-General, Khaled El-Enany.

Ismayilov announced the development in a post on X, saying he had officially begun his diplomatic mission at UNESCO, Caliber.Az reports per local media.

Ismayilov was appointed to the post on August 6, after being recalled as Azerbaijan’s Permanent Representative to the Council of Europe.
