Turkish president to visit Azerbaijan in May as part of broader diplomatic agenda
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is scheduled to visit Azerbaijan in May as part of his official work program.
The visit underscores the close strategic ties between Ankara and Baku, and comes amid an active period in Erdogan’s international diplomatic schedule, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Prior to his trip to Azerbaijan, the Turkish president will travel to Italy on April 29 to attend the 4th Türkiye-Italy Intergovernmental Summit, a key platform for bilateral cooperation and dialogue with European partners.
On May 3, Erdogan is also expected to participate in TEKNOFEST, Türkiye’s leading aerospace and technology festival, which will be held this year in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. The event is seen as a major showcase for Türkiye's growing technological innovation and defence industry.
Looking ahead, President Erdogan is anticipated to visit Washington, DC in June for high-level talks with US officials, marking a significant moment in US-Türkiye relations amid a complex regional and global backdrop.
