Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan forge stronger military partnership in Baku

25 April 2025 12:25

A productive working meeting was held in Baku between the defence delegations of Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.

The event, which was organized under the bilateral military cooperation plan signed for 2025, provided an opportunity for both nations to advance their defence cooperation, Caliber.Az reports citing Azerbaijan’s Defence Ministry.

During the meeting, the Military Strategy and Defence Planning Department of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence delivered a comprehensive briefing to the Uzbek delegation. The presentation outlined the significant progress made by the Azerbaijan Army in defence planning and the effective management of various defence-related projects currently underway. The briefing highlighted key developments aimed at enhancing the operational capabilities and strategic planning of Azerbaijan's military forces.

The discussions also included an exchange of views on potential areas for deepened cooperation between the two countries. The Uzbek delegation posed several inquiries, which were addressed in detail by their Azerbaijani counterparts, further reinforcing the mutual understanding between the two sides.

The meeting concluded with a symbolic gesture of goodwill, as the delegations exchanged keepsakes. A group photo was taken to commemorate the occasion, marking another step forward in the strengthening of military ties between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
