Drone attack on residential building in Zaporizhzhia sparks fire, injures civilians PHOTO/VIDEO
A Shahed-type drone attack on Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region early in the morning ofb December 16 injured two civilians and caused a major fire in a residential building.
According to Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, the drone strike hit a multi-story apartment block, triggering a large fire. Emergency services were dispatched promptly, with rescue teams working to extinguish the blaze and evacuate residents, Caliber.Az reports.
Apartments on two floors of the building were completely destroyed by the fire, with authorities confirming that fire outbreaks were recorded in four separate apartments.
Two people were injured in the attack. A man sustained shrapnel wounds, while a woman suffered carbon monoxide poisoning. Both are receiving medical treatment, officials said.
