Drone strike damages civilian vessel, port infrastructure in southern Ukraine PHOTO/VIDEO

A nighttime drone attack has damaged a civilian vessel flying the Panama flag in the port city of Izmail, according to regional authorities.

Regional head Oleg Kipper said the strike targeted civilian and port infrastructure in the southern part of Odesa region, during a large-scale drone attack carried out overnight, Caliber.Az reports.

He noted that within the Izmail port area, the Panamanian-flagged vessel, along with a pier and a barge, sustained damage. Port equipment was also affected in the strike.

According to Kipper, the attack also destroyed a service station building, which subsequently caught fire. Two passenger buses and seven cars were destroyed, while six private homes suffered roof damage. An ambulance was also reportedly damaged.

Despite the scale of the destruction, no fatalities or injuries were reported. Emergency and municipal services are currently working at the scene, and cleanup operations are ongoing.
