EAEU members sign 12 agreements to boost integration and growth
Member states of the Eurasian Economic Union signed a package of 12 documents during an expanded session of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council held in Shymkent, Kazakhstan, aimed at deepening integration and supporting economic development across the bloc.
According to Kazakh media cited by Caliber.Az, the agreements include a joint program focused on consumer rights protection, a directive addressing the macroeconomic situation in member states, and a set of proposals designed to stimulate economic growth.
Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov underscored that the core principle of the union continues to be the free movement of goods, services, capital, and labour, highlighting its role as the foundation of EAEU integration.
The session also confirmed that the next meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council will take place on August 6–7 in Cholpon-Ata.
