The gathering also includes Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is participating via video link.
As previously stated by Russian Presidential Aide Yuri Ushakov, the closed-door meeting will give the EAEU heads of state an opportunity to address the most sensitive issues in their bilateral and multilateral relations. The discussion will follow a report delivered by Bakytzhan Sagintayev, Chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
Following the restricted-format session, an expanded meeting is scheduled, which will be joined by representatives of EAEU observer states, including Cuba and Uzbekistan, as well as guest nations Mongolia and the United Arab Emirates.
The summit is expected to cover a broad range of economic and strategic topics concerning regional integration and cooperation.
