Egypt condemns storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israeli national security minister, extremist settlers

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry has strongly condemned the recent storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, accompanied by numerous extremist settlers, warning of the severe repercussions such actions could have on regional security and stability.

In an official statement posted on its Facebook page, the ministry denounced the intrusion, emphasizing that these provocations deeply offend the religious beliefs and sentiments of hundreds of millions of Muslims worldwide. Egypt cautioned that such acts risk inflaming tensions and undermining efforts toward peace in the already volatile region, Caliber.Az reports.

“The Arab Republic of Egypt expresses its utmost condemnation of the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by the Israeli Minister of National Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, along with a large number of extremist settlers in continuation of the Israeli escalatory practices.

The Arab Republic of Egypt reiterates its warning against the repercussions of such provocative actions that offend the beliefs and sentiments of hundreds of millions of Muslims around the world, warning against the grave consequences of such reckless behavior on the security and stability of the region.

The Arab Republic of Egypt affirms the necessity for the international community to confront these grave Israeli violations and to support the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, foremost among them their right to establish an independent state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital,” the statement by the ministry reads.
