Egyptian minister calls for peak readiness from Third Field Army

Egyptian Defence Minister, Lieutenant General Abdel Majeed Saqr has urged the soldiers of the Third Field Army to uphold the highest levels of combat readiness.

He noted that the armed forces must be fully capable of carrying out their duties and responsibilities in all situations, Caliber.Az reports via foreign media. 

This took place during the Egyptian Defense Minister's attendance at the execution of the main phase of the mobilisation command centres project for the Third Field Army, according to a statement by the Egyptian Army spokesperson, Brigadier General Gharib Abdel Hafez.

Abdel Hafez mentioned that this phase was carried out over several days as part of the combat training plan for the armed forces' formations and units, with the presence of Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, leaders of the main branches, and several other military leaders, though the duration and location were not specified.

In a speech delivered during the execution of the combat project, Major General Hisham Shandi, commander of the Third Field Army, stated: “The fighters of the Third Field Army are keen to reach the highest levels of efficiency and combat readiness, which enables them to carry out all the tasks assigned to them in defending the security and safety of the homeland, no matter the sacrifices it costs them.” 

He mentioned that the main phase involved presenting an overview of the mobilisation concept and the work carried out in previous stages, along with outlining the decisions made by the leaders during the project's management. The Egyptian defence minister, according to the statement, held discussions with several project participants on how to effectively carry out their tasks and make the best decisions when handling unexpected situations during operations.

The defence minister emphasised the importance of the soldiers of the Third Field Army maintaining top combat readiness, ensuring that the armed forces are always capable of fulfilling their duties and responsibilities under any circumstances. 

Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, met with several commanders and officers to review the missions carried out and introduced a series of unexpected tactical scenarios to assess their ability to make the right decisions based on the situation at hand. The primary responsibilities of the Third Field Army include securing the Sinai Governorate and protecting the country’s border with the Gaza Strip.
