Erdogan to host Zelenskyy in Ankara to discuss Ukraine conflict resolution
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is set to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during the latter’s working visit to Türkiye on November 19.
The discussions are expected to encompass both bilateral relations and the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, with a focus on exploring potential pathways toward resolution, Caliber.Az reports, citing Turkish media.
Key issues anticipated on the agenda include the implementation of a ceasefire, the revitalization of negotiations between Russia and Ukraine—including contacts on the Istanbul platform—and the possibility of convening a summit to further advance peace efforts.
"The talks in Ankara are expected to cover issues on the bilateral agenda with our strategic partner Ukraine, as well as current developments concerning the Russia-Ukraine war,” Turkish Communications Director Burhanettin Duran said in a post on the Turkish social media platform NSosyal.
He added that the discussions will also include efforts aimed at establishing a ceasefire and achieving a lasting solution, particularly the peace negotiations in Istanbul.
