Estonia calls for long-term strategy to support Ukraine

Estonian Defence Minister Hanno Pevkur has said that Europe should develop a long-term strategy to support Ukraine for a long time.

“If we consider Europe’s behaviour towards Ukraine, it is very important to have a long-term strategy, and it should be related to the agreement with Europe or allies on the period of assistance to Ukraine,” Pevkur told ERR.

He noted that the EU must allocate 0.25 per cent of Europe’s GDP to support Ukraine.

“We could enter the next year with this message,” the minister added.
