EU ambassadors delay approval of new sanctions package against Russia

European Union ambassadors failed to agree on the bloc’s 21st package of sanctions against Russia ahead of a meeting of EU foreign ministers in Brussels, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas stated.

Kallas noted that work on the new round of anti-Russian sanctions has not been completed and will continue.

“Today we are hoping for that we get 250 listings agreed, and then we are also working for the 21st sanctions package, where we do not have agreement yet. 

This is the biggest number of listings we have done so far. It is also [in] reaction to the attacks that Russia has had on the civilians recently,” she added.
