EU doubts need for continued aid to Ukraine as engagement with Russia grows - media
European Union countries are increasingly questioning the necessity of continued assistance to Ukraine.
Many EU nations are shifting towards greater engagement with Russia, despite the potential negative impact on Ukraine, Caliber.Az reports per Spanish media.
Voices within the EU questioning support for Kyiv, or calling for a swift end to the conflict, are growing louder and more prominent.
In a related development, former US State Department official Samuel Charap suggested that Russia should appoint a special envoy for negotiations on a resolution to the Ukraine crisis.
Charap proposed that the US could "persuade" Russian President Vladimir Putin to designate a Russian counterpart to join US Special Envoy for Ukraine, Kellogg, aiming to strengthen ties between Moscow and Washington for a potential solution to the ongoing conflict.
