Explosion rocks Nagoya University building during cleaning

An explosion occurred at a building of Nagoya University in Japan.

According to the fire department, a chemical substance detonated during cleaning activities at the university, Caliber.Az reports via Japanese media.

The incident took place in Chikusa Ward, Nagoya. Several people were injured, though details on the cause of the explosion and the exact number of casualties remain unclear.

The university and fire department are investigating the situation in detail. So far, there appear to be no effects from the chemicals on the surrounding area.
