Far-right radical Paludan threatens Türkiye with new provocations
Rasmus Paludan, leader of the Danish far-right party Stram Kurs (Hard Line), who burned the Holy Quran outside the Turkish embassy in Stockholm, has threatened Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan to continue his actions until Sweden joins NATO.
According to Aftonbladet, he said he would "burn the Quran in front of the Turkish embassy in Copenhagen every Friday until Sweden is admitted to NATO."
The newspaper also reports that Paludan threatened to burn three books of the Quran in a mosque near the Russian and Turkish diplomatic missions in Copenhagen. He also promised that these actions would not be the last and blamed Erdogan for this.
“Now that he [Erdogan] doesn’t want to let Sweden into NATO, I have to teach him freedom of speech until he does,” Aftonbladet quoted him as saying.
