FM: Germany changes stance on military aid to Ukraine
12 September 2022 09:36
Germany has reversed its stance on military aid to Ukraine after Russia's full-scale invasion.
German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock made the statement at the Yalta European Strategy (YES) online forum held on September 9-10, RBC-Ukraine reports.
She pledged that Berlin will provide the Ukrainians with weapons as needed.
"We are 150 per cent on the side of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. And we will be with them for as long as Ukraine and the Ukrainian people need us," Baerbock underlined.
The minister said that until February 24, Germany did not supply weapons to Ukraine, since this could set the ground for Russia's invasion, but now the situation has changed reversely.
